Sheila Riley: Visioning Goals

Visioning Goals 2027-2029: Building Our Club’s Future

Oct. 29, 2026

In May, 25 members of our club gathered on a Saturday morning to take on the question: What would our club look like if we implemented a new Vision in the next three years? Using the Rotary Action Plan as a foundation, our Rotarians offered more than 160 ideas on our priorities, accomplishments, impact, and identity. From the Visioning session, seven primary goals emerged. In this program, club members will provide a progress report on the seven Visioning goals and plans for moving forward. Implementing these goals will require the skills, creativity, passion, and energy of all club members. Get excited about building our club’s future together!

Classification Talk: Rob Grover

Nov. 05, 2026
When Rotary was established by Paul Harris and three others, each person came from a different walk of life. This diversity is a cornerstone of Rotary. The intent is to have a cross-section of business and professional experiences in your community.

For decades Rotary International listed a range of professional “classifications” and restricted how many representatives of each could be in a club. This ensures that each club reflects the community in which it serves. It also reminds us to not have one profession as a dominant voice in our club. Over time, these restrictions have pretty much given way, but your classification continues to be of great interest to your fellow club members. That’s why your Rotary badge carries your name and your classification.

Classification talks help us learn about the life experiences and professional backgrounds of new members.

Dr. Michael Osterholm

Public Health Challenges, Disease Prevention and the Future of Global Health…a moderated conversatio

Nov. 12, 2026

Join us for an extraordinary conversation with Dr. Michael Osterholm, one of the world’s foremost experts on infectious diseases, in a compelling moderated interview with veteran journalist Rusty Cunningham, former publisher and executive editor of the River Valley News.
As director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Osterholm has spent decades preparing the world for emerging health threats. His distinguished career includes advising the World Health Organization, the CDC, the NIH, and the U.S. Department of State on global health security and biosecurity. He is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Deadliest Enemy: Our War Against Killer Germs, a member of the TIME100 Health list of the world’s most influential health leaders, and recipient of the American Medical Association’s Outstanding Government Service Award.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear one of the world’s leading voices discuss today’s public health challenges, disease prevention, and the future of global health.
