This Week: Lee Rasch, Rotary 4-Way Test and How it Applies to Inclusion
On February 11th, in lieu of the regular weekly program, the Rotary Club of La Crosse will hold a roundtable conversation regarding the club’s weekly meeting practices and activities.
The purpose is to engage members in a discussion about building and maintaining a welcoming meeting environment. It is also intended that the roundtable approach will result in a better understanding of how to
respond to issues with diverse viewpoints. The roundtable
conversation process draws upon the work of Braver Angels, a partner organization with a number of Rotary clubs.
Because of the membership focus of this meeting, it is suggested that we refrain from inviting guests. If you have questions about the program, please contact Task Force Chair, Lee Rasch.

Staying Safe Online
Past President Sarah Arendt-Beyer shared tips to help keep yourself safe online this year and to avoid common scams. We learned how to protect our email, phone, social media accounts, website, and more.

STAR Meeting - January 9th, 12-1pm

STAR - Specialized Training for Action in Rotary....you will meet other new Rotarians from the area. We will provide programs on the Avenue of Service, The Rotary Foundation, and the Rotary Works Foundation, along with other aspects of Rotary. This is a great time to ask questions you may have about our club or Rotary in general. Hope you will be able to join us.

Welcome to Week 2 of RI’s Month of Vocational Services.
The report this week from Rotary News is about two Rotary districts and TRF funded a much-needed medical facility in Guwahati, a sprawling city in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta inaugurated the three state-of- the-art facilities — a blood bank, an eye hospital and a physiotherapy unit — at the KGMT Hospital, Guwahati, in the presence of DG Nilesh Agarwal, PDGs Manas Chaudhuri, Kalpana Khound and Debashish Das.
The facilities were set up by RID 3240 at around ₹2 crore (about $270, 000 USD) through a Global Grant project with RID 3282, Bangladesh, as partner. During his tenure as governor in 2019–20, PDG Das initiated the project with $30,000 from a Directed Gift to form a seed fund for the GG project.
