Your Board of Directors met on Thursday, March 26th via Zoom and had a very successful meeting. We are excited to announce, on Thursday, April 9th we will be holding our first virtual club meeting via Zoom. Lyn will be providing more information prior to that meeting. Our very own, Joe Carlson will be the main presentation.
In our meeting, a major topic that we discussed was our membership - how to retain and assist our members during this pandemic. A letter addressing various membership initiatives will be coming prior to the next billing cycle. We are here to assist and support all our members anyway we can.
Thank you, Rotarians, this pandemic will more than likely change how we live but will not change the good in all we do.
Stay safe and healthy,
Tami Woods La Crosse Downtown Rotary Club President 2019-20
Our club will have a ZOOM meeting next week. We will be sending you a browser link next week via email. More details will be coming.
I know many Rotarians have been using Zoom the past few weeks....if you are not familiar with it here is a short video for you to view prior to next week's meeting.
Every Rotarian is Responsible for Membership Growth
If no written objection to the proposal stating reasons is received by the Board of Directors from any member of the club within seven days following publication of the name of the prospective member, the prospective member shall be considered to be elected to membership.
Rotarian Bud Hammes informed us of this timely and relevant program that Rotary Club of Milwaukee streamed last week. Though we cannot meet this week in La Crosse we are suggesting you take time to view this video or listen to the podcast.
Program by Dr. Bob Gleeson.
Coronavirus, What do we know, where are we now, and where might we go?
Coronavirus is suddenly upon us. How did we get here? What do we know for sure? Where might we be headed? How will this end? And what can I do to protect my family and business?
Dr. Bob Gleeson has studied pandemics professionally for Northwestern Mutual and personally for 25 years. He shared his learned insights and governmental guidelines for care.
This club is open to all Rotarians who need to do a makeup or just want to read about great programs from around the world. Please join them at www.rotaryeclubone.org and click on makeups.

I want to give you an update since I left Rotary. Since loosing my job a few weeks ago, I have decided to temporarily move to East De Pere (near Green Bay) at the end of March and continue searching for the next step in my career. I want to let you all know how much I miss everyone. Being part of Rotary certainly shaped me professionally and personally and it was an honor to spend Thursday lunches with each of you. I hope to visit La Crosse this summer and will be sure to attend a Thursday meeting. I wish each of you the best and please feel free to reach out anytime. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone's contact information but I can be reached at ashley.skoczynski@gmail.com or 920-676-2381.
