Last week at Rotary our guest speaker was Alexander Platt - The Life and Times of a Modern Day Maestro.   Alexander Platt has built a unique career spanning the worlds of symphony, chamber music, and opera. He is Music Director of both the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and spends his summers in Woodstock, New York as Music Director of the Maverick Concerts, the oldest summer chamber-music festival in America. We also had surprise performance by guest artist Yevgency KutikWith a “dark-hued tone and razor-sharp technique” (The New York Times), Russian-American violinist Yevgeny Kutik has captivated audiences worldwide with an old-world sound that communicates a modern intellect.
