FIND A SERVICE PROJECT THAT FITS YOU

One of the Objects of Rotary is "The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's person, business, and community life."

Below you will find opportunities to serve along side fellow Rotarians and community members.

Between the Bluffs - Beer, Wine, Cheese Festival

Our team will assist Friday, April 26th with grounds set up (hanging banners, setting up tables, assisting with rearranging areas of the grounds - lunch included) and assist with program and glass distribution at the front gate on Saturday, April 27th. Dress for the weather whichever day you choose.

This is also a fundraiser for our club and each person volunteering receives a free ticket to the event and a VIP meal the day of the event.

Note:  You don't have to be a Rotarian to sign up. Feel free to sign a friend or family member up!
See Niki Pohnl for questions or more details.

Letter Carrier's Food Drive

Great Rivers United Way is helping out by recruiting driving teams, consisting of a driver and at least one passenger each, who will use a personal vehicle to collect donations on an assigned route(s) ahead of local Letter Carriers in La Crosse and Onalaska. WE ARE LOOKING FOR 3 ROTARY TEAMS/FAMLIES!

Drivers and their passenger(s) will report to the La Crosse Post Office, where they will receive materials and a route. Driving teams will follow mail routes, making two or more sweeps of that route to ensure as many donations as possible are picked up by volunteers, rather than Letter Carriers, who are also delivering mail this day. We estimate that driving teams will be done by 2:00 p.m. at the latest. This event is rain or shine.

Note: This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity – the more helping hands, the better! See Mary Kay Wolf or Niki Pohnl for questions or more details.

River Clean Up

On Friday, May 10, we need about 8 volunteers to help with logistics for the corporate clean up day.  Our club volunteers will help send the Trane employees to clean up sites and then help make sure the trash brought back gets put in the right bins.   Our volunteers will need to be at the Trempealeau boat landing by 7:30 am and the clean up will end at about 11:30.   A free lunch is provided to all immediately following.   On Saturday, May 11, we will form a small rotary group to clean up some specific area for River Clean Up from 8am-11am.

Note:  You don't have to be a Rotarian to sign up. Feel free to sign a friend or family member up with you if you wish!
See Bud Hammes for questions or more details.
