Classification Talk: Elizabeth Filter
Liz Filter serves as the President and CEO of VARC, where she leads the organization in executing its mission of providing employment and life skills opportunities for individuals with varying abilities and mental health diagnoses. She has been widely involved in workgroups and boards related to issues surrounding employment including educational needs, transportation
barriers, and identification of community resource needs.

In 2011, Liz earned her Masters of Science in Psychology and in 2016, obtained a Certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Liz previously served as the President of the Board of Directors for Disability Service Provider
Network (DSPN), Wisconsin’s leading trade association for organizations that provide support to individuals with disabilities, and serves on its Public Policy and Education committees.
Additionally, Liz serves as a member of the Board for Wisconsin Manufacturer’s and Commerce (WMC), is the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce Past President, and serves on a number of other local boards and committees.
Liz enjoys spending time traveling, reading, and hiking. Her greatest joys are her work and her family - husband, Eric, and their incredible son Calvin.
