Fruit Box Committee
The Rotary Club of La Crosse has coordinated a Fruit Basket/Box Project for 20+ years. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. The main goal of the annual fundraiser is to generate financial resources for club activities and service projects, and provides an opportunity for all club members to participate in an annual fundraising activity through the assembly, distribution, purchase, and sale of fruit boxes during the holiday season.

All proceeds of the Fruit Box Fundraiser go to the Rotary Club of La Crosse. Thanks to the generous membership and a giving community, this annual fundraiser raises awareness of Rotary and increases our exposure in the community. The Rotary Club of La Crosse does a lot of good within the community. Establishing Meals-on-Wheels, helping the Salvation Army and Hunger Task Force, Kids Coulee, facilitating organ donor awareness programs... and a whole lot more!

The duties of this committee have been split and shared by Co-Chairs. The Fruit Box Co-Chairs coordinate with long-time established vendors (so you can plug and go) and coordinate deliveries (using GPS software) of the Fruit Boxes on Assembly Saturday and the following Monday. In 2021, we added online ordering with the goal of leveraging and marketing this feature to increase sales in future years, since we lost several large group orders that likely will not return.

The Fruit Box Committee requires time commitment between Mid-October to Mid-December. The committee meets (2-3x's) prior to one of our Thursday meetings between Oct. - Dec. This is followed by Fruit Box assembly for 2-4 hours on the 2nd Saturday of December & deliveries on that Saturday & the following Monday.
