The Rotary Leadership Series is designed for the members of the nine La Crosse-Area Rotary Clubs. Members may invite guests. Registration is required to attend, guests must provide their email address.


SAM SCINTA is President and Founder of IM Education, an education nonprofit focusing on critical thinking and communication, and Lecturer in Political Science at UW-La Crosse and Viterbo University. Sam received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University and his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Denver. He has over twenty years experience working in book publishing, where he has worked as an editor and publisher, and is a frequent speaker on civics and critical thinking.

RICK KYTE is Endowed Professor and Director of the DB Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership at Viterbo University. He has published and lectured widely on topics related to justice, forgiveness, virtue, and the meaning of life. After growing up in Frazee, a small town in northwestern Minnesota, Richard attended Hamline University where he earned a B.A. in philosophy. He then went on to graduate school, obtaining a Ph.D. in philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University in 1994. He is the author of several books and writes a regular column for the La Crosse Tribune titled “The Ethical Life,’ which is distributed nationally.
