Fruit Basket Orders....Our Fruit Basket fundraiser is underway. Order forms are available at our Rotary Meeting...every Rotarian is responsible for buying/selling five baskets. Help promote the fundraiser by distributing fliers/order forms. This fundraiser helps us fund our projects throughout the year...Youth Exchange, Friendship and Vocational Team support, Rotary Lights, Rotary Works Foundation, etc. Last day to get them in is Thursday, December 3rd.
Discover Wisconsin Rotary Lights Pledge...Our club has pledged $3,000 and we have received $2,115 to date...write your checks out to Rotary Lights for a tax deduction. Baskets will be on the tables. We are looking for drivers to take Annie and one to three local exchange students to Madison on Saturday, December 5th and bring them back on Sunday, December 6th. The Holiday Party will be at Edgewood College in the Dominican Multipurpose Room. They will be meeting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5th and the pick up time is 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 6th. The Rotary Clubs in the area are making pledges to help with the cost of the Discover Wisconsin Rotary Lights episode that was broadcast on October 31, 2015. Discover Wisconsin will broadcast this segment for three years and it will air in 8 Midwesternstates. What a great promotional opportunity.
Our club has agreed to support this project and hopes to raise $3,000. We already have $1,500 in hand from a generous member's donation and hope to match that during themonth of November/December with donations from our membership. Checks can be written to Rotary Lightsfor a tax deduction. You can drop your contributions off at the registration table or send them to P.O. Box 1914, La Crosse, WI 54602-1914. I’m Cameron Neader, an 18 year old who’s lucky enough to have a “once in a life experience” two times. I went on exchange to Fyn, Denmark in 2013-2014 through Rotary and now on a second Rotary Youth exchange to Istanbul, Turkey for 2015-2016. My first day in Turkey was September 1st.

Honorary Membership is offered to members who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals. Honorary membership is the highest distinction that a club may bestow and should be conferred only in exceptional cases. Honorary members cannot propose new members to the club or hold office and are exempt from attendance requirements and club dues. Honorary members will continue to receive The Rotarian Magazine compliments of the club.
Excused Membershipis offered to members whose age and number of years in Rotary total 85 years. Excused Members will pay the quarterly dues of $67 and only for meals when they attend a meeting.
Membership Proposals....we will no longer ask for three references when you propose a new member. This was a criteria that our club had set not RI.
