Our speaker this week will be Kahya Fox Executive Director of La Crosse Area Habitat for Humanity.  

Kahya is a graduate of UW-La Crosse.  She has spent her professional life developing affordable housing in our area.  Prior to her current position, she served as the Housing Coordinator for Couleecap.  

 

Under her leadership as Executive Director, the organization will complete nine homes in 2023 in partnership with qualified low income families who purchase their homes with a no interest mortgage and sweat equity. Kahya will bring us up to date on the latest activities of La Crosse Area Habitat including their role hosting the first ever Bike Build Home 500 five day fundraising bike ride in July. Our club's Humanitarian Committee and Cooking fellowship will be volunteering to serve breakfast for one day of the ride on Saturday July 15.
