Thank you to our presenters Dean Dickinson, Mary Mickelson and Kelly Krieg-Sigman for their thoughts on why it is important to support the Rotary Foundation International (Annual Fund and Polio Plus) and our local Rotary Works Foundation.
Last week at Rotary was our enrollment for your pledge to the Rotary Foundations for 2018 & 2019. Those members in attendance received their letter and personal pledge form with their pledges noted from 2017. If you were not at the meeting you will be receiving your letter/pledge form in the mail. We are asking you return your pledge form by Thursday, November 30th. If you do not return the form we will assume that you will be pledging the same as 2017.
This year you are given the opportunity to make your Rotary Foundation INTERNATIONAL pledge through Rotary Direct. You can enroll online at www.rotary.org/give. If you give to both the Annual Fund-Share (funds come back to our District for grants) and Polio Plus you may need to fill out the form twice. If you decide to give online - please NOTE that on your pledge form so that I don't bill you on your invoice in January.
Another opportunity that was presented is the Rotary Credit Card.
Promote Rotary and help support our Foundation with the Rotary International credit card. Just by using your card, you’ll be helping The Rotary Foundation do good in the world.
A portion of each purchase you make with the card will benefit The Rotary Foundation, at no additional cost to you. The Rotary Foundation has received more than $8.6 million from the program since it launched in 2000, including $3.6 million to support polio eradication.
Earn 1% cash back on every purchase, 2% cash back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs, and 3% cash back on gas for the first $2,500 in combined grocery/wholesale club/gas purchases each quarter. Bank of America donates $100 to Rotary with every activated account.
