PAUL HARRIS FELLOW RECOGNITION

ImageThe Paul Harris Fellow Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals in recognition of their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing 'Service Above Self." Paul Harris Fellow is a person who has contributed, or in whose name a contribution of $US1000 has been made, to the Annual Programs Fund and certain other programs of The Rotary Foundation. Recognition of a Paul Harris Fellow is an opportunity to show appreciation for a person, either Rotarian or non-Rotarian, who shares the values of the Foundation.

Honorary Members
Jan 22, 2016 - 23

Honorary Membership  is offered to members who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals.  Honorary membership is the highest distinction that a club may bestow and should be conferred only in exceptional cases.  Honorary members cannot propose new members to the club or hold office and are exempt from attendance requirements and club dues.  Honorary members will continue to receive The Rotarian Magazine compliments of the club.

Excused Membership is offered to members whose age and number of years in Rotary total 85 years.  Excused Members will pay the quarterly dues of $67 and only for meals when they attend a meeting.

Membership Proposals....we will no longer ask for three references when you propose a new member.  This was a criteria that our club had set not RI.  This will help us process new members into our club more efficiently.  You can access the membership proposal form online, under the Club Information site page.

PRESENT FOR THE PRESIDENT

PRESENT FOR THE PRESIDENT....If you travel outside of our Rotary District, please consider bringing back a "Present for the President."  These will not actually be for the president.... at the year-end Spring Social, the president will pick one item from all of those brought in during the year.  The rest of the items go up for auction/raffle to raise some money or be used as raffle gifts throughout the year!  A bottle of wine from a faraway place, a book, any memento or neat item that you can get through customs and not be really inconvenienced would be appreciated.  If you don't know what to buy, and you're in that faraway place - seek out a Rotarian.
