CHARITY NAVIGATOR

Charity NavigatorFounded in 2001, Charity Navigator has become the nation's largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities. In our quest to help donors, our team of professional analysts has examined tens of thousands of non-profit financial documents. We've used this knowledge to develop an unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system to assess over 8,000 of America's best-known and some lesser known, but worthy, charities. Specifically, Charity Navigator's rating system examines two broad areas of a charity's performance; their Financial Health and their Accountability & Transparency. Our ratings show givers how efficiently we believe a charity will use their support today, how well it has sustained its programs and services over time and their level of commitment to good governance, best practices and openness with information. In the not-too-distant future, we plan to also rate charities’ reporting of their results. We provide these ratings so that charitable givers/ social investors can make intelligent giving decisions, and so that the nonprofit sector can improve its performance.

The Rotary Foundation's overall score is 96.31, Financial score is 96.66 and Accountability and Transparency is 96.00.

PAST DUE ACCOUNTS
PAST DUE ACCOUNTS:  We have sent out past due statements by email and mail.  If you received one we would appreciate your payment this week. We still have $8,000 outstanding and would hope that everyone has their account current by the end of the month.   This past year members are being, I will say "forgetful" and not making payments in a timely manner.  We will now have the sergeant-at-arms involved in tracking those members who are not current and sending out notices.  We hope you will be kind enough to keep your account current so that we don't give our sergeant-at-arms, John Wettstein unnecessary extra work.

INFORMATIONAL: We send out invoices each quarter, January, April, July and October.  We use the QuickBooks Program and you receive it by email...you can make a payment online through your bank account.  You can not view your account online in ClubRunner.  When invoices are sent out...Lyn  will let everyone know that in the newsletter and the president will announce at the podium...this way in case your invoice did not make it to your inbox you can contact Lyn for a copy.
